- Has your definition of art clanged since from the beginning of this class?
Has the definition of art changed in the dictionary? No? Then neither has mine. I've learned about new kinds of art, but they don't shatter my perception of art. Are poems art? Yes. Does that make black out poems art? Of course it does. (Also, clanged. Really?)
- Choose a place or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection to. Please explain.
I feel that the best piece to represent me is my final exam comic because it shows my way of drawing. I'm a cartoonist and my works aren't realistic in the slightest. It also helps that it's based on one of my favorite games of all time.
Choose 1 piece of art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects. Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills and techniques to create the piece.
In my daily monster piece, I used a lot of sharpie and I really liked using it. So i decided to do a whole picture using sharpie. And that is how the sharpie robber man came to be. It incorporates my cartoony art style with the sharpie to make a really good piece.

Medium: which medium did you most enjoy working with and why? Which medium did you not use but wish you had explored? Include photo.
As I said above, I really like using sharpie now. I really like the sharpie robber as well as the were-centaur, but my favorite sharpie piece is the Daily Monster. I love the colors and the creativity of it and it's become one of my favorite pieces.

What is a technique you used in your artwork that worked well? Explain what technique it was and why it was successful.
Even though I'm being really repetitive, sharpie worked the best (besides most of my art used sharpie). My main problem with pencil now is that it rubs off too easily either on to the paper covering or on my hands. With sharpie and other markers, I don't have to worry about it. Plus sharpie just looks so much better than pencil.
