- I tried to find a project that wasn't the print that could be my most successful project. I really did. But in my opinion, none of my Art 2 projects top this one. I really like the idea (because it didn't have to be that realistic) and the colors really pop. Did I still make mistakes? When don't I? But this kind of project allows for mistakes because, well, prints are hard to get perfect.
2. I feel that these two pieces show my growth as an artist because of the common theme they share. Both pieces are based on an artist's style, Georgia O' Keefe (Left) and Van Gogh (Right). The improvement comes from how well I replicated the style. The only concept I carried over from Georgia was that it was based on nature. The space wasn't used that well, the colors didn't stand out much, and it was just too far away. The painting followed Van Gogh's style more closely because I used his main technique. The painting looks messy (and let's be honest, it is) but I feel it does have the Van Gogh style to it.
